Pentwater Carpenters John, Otho, Harold, and Wit Graham helped to construct the Gardner Building now occupied by Jilly’s and Green Issacs Coffee, for many years the home of Bill Balfour’s Grocery Store and Duke and Emily DeWar’s Bakery. In 2020, the new Green Issacs Coffee Shop opened in the building. On the other side of the building is the 240 Hair Salon. The old neon sign now hangs over the building.

Jilly’s Gallery opened at 226 Hancock in 2021. Jilly’s Gallery Pentwater history began in 2012, in a building further south on Hancock Street. Jilly Barnes expanded her business in the former Petrie Gallery at this location.
